As I’m sure you’ve read in Isaac’s How to Have Style, and as you may recall from my personal style quest, the key to style is inspiration. This morning, I was so inspired by my new watch, that I was nearly late for work! Here’s what happened…

I got this incredible purple Nixon Time Teller watch, with mint green detailing, for my birthday. Such a great gift, right?! I love it and couldn’t wait to wear it, but what to wear with it?! To be honest, I think I need more time to figure that one out. I tried, but ultimately I ran out of time. What I really wanted was to wear short sleeves so I could properly show it off, but it’s just too darn cold! For today I went super simple: an off-white cashmere sweater with dark denim jeans and grey riding boots. (I know, I know, JEANS! But I promise I haven’t slipped back into my “jeans coma” of last fall.)

So far, everyone I’ve interacted with has noticed and commented on my fabulous new watch. Maybe simple was the right choice after all…
