I was depressed. It was Monday yesterday and I had a long week ahead staring me down, with a lot of “fun” appointments in my agenda like a dental cleaning and one with my accountant to do my taxes. Not to mention the fact that opening day at Yankee’s Stadium was rained out.
Somehow the thrill is gone. Was it a writer’s strike we just lived through or was there secretly a stylist’s strike I didn’t know about?
It’s Oscar time…how exciting! I love all of the nominees, what a great group of ladies. And I am sure that all will look gorgeous and wonderful on Sunday night on the red carpet. I thought it would be fun to offer up some help to the ladies about what to wear, so here are some suggestions.
We are just a couple of days from the biggest night in Hollywood. How exciting? I know it’s like the biggest night in terms of fashion and all eyes wil be focused on the red carpet.

Thursday gave creed to that saying “no rest for the weary.” After finishing the collection show Wednesday we had to start work on the show we had committed to tape for “Good Morning America” the following morning. It was such an insane few days.
My show Wednesday was so much fun. The whole process was a joy from selecting the first fabric to watching the collection on tape afterwards. As I was sending the girls out Wednesday afternoon I remarked to myself how beautifully executed the clothes were, how far they’d come in just one year’s time and I have no doubt that it’s because I finally have the right people I’m working with.
I’ve been so busy around the studio the past few weeks, and all it’s all coming to a head in the next couple of days. Yesterday and today I’m finishing up my fittings for the fall collection which will be shown tomorrow. This morning I’m having the hair and makeup meeting, one of my favorite things to do.

It’s a legal, healthy form of adult entertainment, and let me tell you there aren’t many websites out there that can make all these claims.
So my theory is that people look great. Not just fashion editors. I walk the street and notice people looking wonderful.
