In addition to my fabulous studio at 475, I have a smaller studio in my apartment that I sometimes like to work out of – here’s a tour!

I do a little bit of everything here, so I like to have everything I need around – just in case. Here are the filing cabinets filled with fabric swatches that inspire me – my assistant Sam has organized them by color:

Here’s an exercise bike that gets used much less than the dressforms nearby:

This is one of my all-time favorite antiques, it is an antique foot-warmer that used to be filled with hot water and you would take with you in your carriage – I got it at Penine Hart Antiques, located between Spring St. and Broome St. It’s one of my best finds yet:

Here I am at my desk giving a radio phone interview:

And here’s Harry who barked the entire time:

This is a sunny part of my studio that I love and I can get some sketching done so I keep all my colored pencils and brushes nearby:

And here is the view looking East onto 5th Avenue, I love to sketch by the windows:

And this my typical morning laid out on my desk: iced coffee and the New York Times crossword puzzle.

And this is an adorable picture book about two little girls living above a chic department store, written and illustrated by one of my friends who I swim with at the pool – you must run out and get a copy!

I also love antique and vintage chairs, especially giving them new life by re-upholstering them, this is the latest one I just covered in this gorgeous metallic leather.

And this is an incredible work of art by Jenny Ping who is so fabulous and this character inspires me every day:

Another great artist you must check out is Lisa Sanditz, this is an incredible painting that is actually of a Target Store!

Finally, here is a picture of the exquisite tree in my backyard at my other favorite place: my home in Bridgehampton. I truly do love fall, and this is a sure sign that it’s on it’s way!

Hope you enjoyed that quick little tour, now you’ve seen where I work and all the things I love to surround myself with that inspire everything I do!
