Dear Isaac,
It is really important to be able to hold yourself in warm regard despite your imperfections as a human being. Grasp in your heart that you have inherent worth just because you exist on the planet. So no matter how you look or what you have (or have not) accomplished, you still have infinite worth.
If you base your worth on your looks, your accomplishments or people’s opinions of you, there is always the possibility of feeling “less than” and moving into shame, self-contempt and self-loathing.
When you are entertaining self-loathing, your body chemistry will reflect that in a variety of ways that contributes to weight gain. Self-hatred slows down your metabolism so you don’t burn calories as efficiently. Self-loathing, guilt and shame lowers your serotonin levels and since food raises serotonin levels there is the temptation to self-medicate with food to raise the serotonin levels. Low serotonin also contributes to poor impulse control so it’s harder to resist the urge to indulge.
Lack of self-worth also gets us into self-destructive patterns where we don’t feel like we are worth taking care of ourselves. Overeating, eating junk food, not getting enough sleep and exercise may come out of just not feeling like you’re worth it.
If you will begin to see that you are worthwhile no matter how you look, the serotonin levels come up, you feel better and have less urges to over eat. Your metabolism will speed up and burn the food you eat more efficiently. Your energy to do good for yourself comes from within rather than from chasing after external fixes which may manage the situation for a while but ultimately fail.
My heart goes out to you when I hear you pummeling yourself about your age and how you think you look. Isaac, my wish for you is that you can start seeing that you really are worthwhile just the way you are at any given time. You are on a journey. You’re doing the best you can. And you are worthwhile just because you exist.
I know this is too long, but I hope it will be of some help to you.
Love,
Ruth

Isaac...Shalom!
My dahling...I just adore you. Not only your fashions (just received my latest purchase of the Azalea trench GORGEOUS!) and TV shows but just watching you makes me smile. Your sense of humor is contagious and your zest for life exhilarating.
We are around the same age and losing weight is my burden now as well. I sympathize with your situation and understand completely. Personally, I find that weight watchers is a nice foundation for me to work from...it allows me to still eat my sweets and carbs, but helps me stay on track as well. I have one day a week where I eat whatever I want (usually on Sundays). I find that this keeps me satisfied and gives me something to look forward to each week. When I want something naughty during the week (tee hee) I remember that Sunday will soon be here!
Don't lose heart and the weight will come off. I also struggle with some lower back pain. As I'm losing weight I find it is slowly getting better. Have a lovely week and don't be too hard on yourself. You bring such joy to us all!
Loves and hugs Isaac!

Isaac Darling, Congrats on your weight loss. I can feel your determination for having better health. As far as the wall goes, we all hit them. Personally, I love food (what good Tauras doesn't!) and I allow myself a treat once in a while. Now this does not mean that I have failed, it just means we need a little somethin somethin one day a month or two days maybe(especially under tremendious pressure.) Be kind and love yourself--no matter what the circumstance. And if you need help I have found a great supplement that helps me feel full. I know people tell you they have found the answer and I have been looking for what seems forever! Please do the research on Leptin. This is a hormone in your body that lets you know when you are full. This supplement helps your body recognize fullness without harming your body. You need to eat well and you do--just less.
I thought this might be hype but it is working. I am pushing away from the food so much sooner and my scale is going dow. Whoo Hoo!
Check out www.max4healthand wellness.com and see for yourself. Whatever you decide, I wish you much deserved success. Cheers!

Isaac: I have some kind words for a wonderful kind man.
Your body is your temple - so everything you put in it shows.
Perhaps cutting back on SB coffee would be a good step.
Replacing it with tea or juice can be a small step.
Your body is your temple - so even the structure has to be cared for.
I applaud your weight loss and quitting smoking - time to celebrate!
However I would encourage natural things like accupuncture as well.
I know you have mounting stress but the solutions are simple.
Savoring one treat, lounging with Harry, doing a crossword, etc.
Perhaps a moment to stop, breathe and hug someone will help.
If nothing else I hope you soak in the love your fans radiate to you.
<3 N :) xoxo
