I started designing clothing when I was a tiny kid. I don’t know where the process began. All I know is where it led, and I’m in the middle of it. The constant, nagging, crazy question in my life is, “What is style?” I don’t know who first posed it. I don’t know the definitive answer, or if I’ll ever answer the question once and for all. The answer is always changing; that’s the challenge of my life, chasing that answer. It’s a quest, like King Arthur looking for the Holy Grail. I help people find their style. I design clothes, accessories, home furnishings, costume – anything that needs designing, I design. And I try to have fun in the process. Sometimes it’s agonizing, other times it’s very rewarding. But the question “What is style?” is something that challenges me. For better or worse.
