Nutella French Toast Sandwich

Serves 6-8

Ingredients:

8 large eggs

2 1/12 cups whole milk

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Zest of 1 orange

1 teaspoon vanilla exrtact

1 loaf brioche bread, sliced about 3/4-inch thick

3/4 cup Nutella

3 ripe bananas, sliced on a diagnol

Directions:

  • Grease a baking dish. Spread half of the bread slices with Nutella and tpo with bananas and the remaining bread slices. Place in baking dish. Pour egg mixture over the bread and allow it to soak in, at least 20 minutes. (I like to make it the night before, cover it, and store it in the refrigerator until the next morning).



  • Preheat the oven to 350F. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, until bread is golden brown and puffy. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
